What is meant by carbon project co-benefits?

Co-benefits are the positive environmental and social impacts that result from a specific carbon project beyond the GHG reduction or removal benefits.  Examples across various project types include improved air quality near landfill gas projects, habitat protection when improved forest management practices are implemented, or additional jobs for local community members.
