What you'll receive — and when

The moment payment completes

  • Order confirmation & receipt

Emailed and available from your order history as soon as payment completes.

  • Commercial Terms

Your purchase contract — the record most buyers need on file right away, and your proof of purchase in the interim.

  • Purchase certificate

A 3Degrees-issued certificate summarizing your purchase — your interim evidence for reporting.

  • Product Content Label

The standard Green-e® disclosure covering 3Degrees' whole certified portfolio, so it lists several possible technologies — not just this product's. Where your product promises a more specific mix, the label's own terms confirm that more specific commitment governs.

Later, on a periodic cycle

  • Green-e® attestation & Historical Product Content Label

3Degrees' signed declaration that the renewable attributes were sold exclusively to you, and only once, listing each generating facility by name and state. It typically arrives by the spring after the calendar year of your purchase, sometimes sooner. The attached Historical Product Content Label shows the delivered resource mix.

Timing reflects typical practice rather than a guaranteed date — the Commercial Terms govern delivery. Your purchase documentation may cover your annual reporting needs until the attestation is provided, and you'll be notified when it's delivered.

When this fits

  1. You report Scope 2 emissions market-based for U.S. or Canadian operations.

  2. Your reporting framework accepts U.S./Canadian RECs (RE100, CDP, SBTi, GHG Protocol).

  3. You're matching 2028 electricity usage in your reporting year.

What are Energy Attribute Certificates?

An Energy Attribute Certificate (EAC) represents the environmental benefits of 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) of renewable electricity generation. When you purchase these certificates, you are buying the renewable attributes of that electricity, helping to support renewable energy development.

After purchase:

  • 3Degrees retires the certificates to Green-e® standards
  • You'll receive documentation and a receipt
  • Documentation can be used for environmental reporting and claims
