Your credits are retired individually in your name on the project's registry. You receive confirmation of that retirement, plus 3Degrees' signed attestation listing each project by name, country, project type, verification program, vintage year, and tonnes. Both follow on a periodic cycle.

Timing reflects typical practice rather than a guaranteed date — the Commercial Terms govern delivery. Your purchase documentation may cover your annual reporting needs until the attestation is provided, and you'll be notified when it's delivered.

What are Carbon Credits?
A carbon credit represents one metric ton of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) that has been avoided or removed from the atmosphere. When you purchase carbon credits, you are supporting verified projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
After purchase:
- 3Degrees will retire the carbon credits on your behalf
- You'll receive documentation and a receipt
- Documentation can be used for carbon reporting and claims
