During New York Climate Week, 3Degrees took to stages across Manhattan to present a new vision for scope 3 dearbonizaton–one focused on scalability, impact, and accountability.
3Degrees team members acted as featured panelists or facilitators in five events throughout New York Climate Week. While these events catered to different audiences and sectors, they each shared a common throughline: scope 3 is changing, and businesses, standards bodies, and project operators are being asked to adapt.
Nowhere was this throughline more apparent than 3Degrees’ flagship panel, The Enterprise Shift in Scope 3 Decarbonization. John Bourne, Senior Director, Supply Chain Decarbonization, at 3Degrees was joined by Kerry Constabile, Director, Decarbonization Strategy, Amazon, David Spitzley, Global Climate & Nature Director, Starbucks, Benjamin Ware, Global Head of Climate & Sustainable Sourcing, Nestlé, and Jessica Patel, Director of Sustainability, ALDI USA. The discussion focused on the paradigm shift taking place within corporate scope 3 decarbonization strategies as businesses work to move from small, one-off pilots to an enterprise approach that spans the whole of the corporate value chain. The panelists offered our audience members key insights into innovative strategies to address scope 3 emissions across complex global value chains while prioritizing impact, accountability, and adherence to dynamic guidance from leading standards bodies.

During the Value Change Initiative’s Net Zero Value Chains event, Jacob Issaacson, Associate Director, Strategy, at 3Degrees joined panelists from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP), and Starbucks to discuss the use of MBI’s in value chain decarbonization.
As part of the Center for Green Market Activation’s annual Green Markets Day event, 3Degrees CEO Philippe Vedrenne joined industry leaders for the panel, “The Next Frontiers for Green Market Activation – New Technologies, New Sectors, New Regions.” Alongside panelists from GenZero, the Good Food Institute, and Meta, Philippe spoke to the importance of collaborative efforts to create new markets for scope 3 decarbonization.
Erin Craig, Chief Sustainability Officer at 3Degrees, addressed the audience during the panel, “Voluntary Corporate Action, Markets and Accounting: From Evolving Standards to Strategic Decisions.” Hosted by the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), the panel featured experts from BSI, Dow, and the High-Tide Foundation.
The Low Carbon Fertilizer Alliance Breakfast
The Low Carbon Fertilizer Alliance, a consortium of businesses working to accelerate the decarbonization of fertilizer manufacturing, held its first New York Climate Week event. Members gathered alongside partner organizations, including the Center for Green Market Activation (GMA), to discuss the successes of the Alliance since its founding in 2024 and address upcoming opportunities, including the launch of the Green Ammonia Buyers Alliance (GABA) in conjunction with GMA.
