At 3Degrees, we always strive to walk our talk, especially when it comes to protecting our employees’ wellbeing. Our benefits offering comes from a place of thoughtfulness and care; we know that individual employees can face different challenges, and we want to invest in tools that serve them and their families.
We offer a wide variety of benefits, ranging from financial benefits that help you plan for your future, to benefits that help you give back to your community. Here’s the current collection of benefits and perks we offer to 3Degrees employees.
Unique benefits to support health, development, and work/life balance
Our employees get flexible paid time off, and this means that there is no set number of vacation days. 3D’ers take off the time that works for them, and as long as work gets done, there’s a lot of flexibility with this. Employees are empowered to take advantage of opportunities, and take time off when it makes sense for them.
We provide an annual health and wellness stipend to encourage and enable employees to do the things they love outside of work. Some popular uses are climbing gym memberships, spa days, sports equipment like bicycles, weights, etc. If it contributes to health and wellness, use the stipend!

As a Certified B Corp, volunteering and giving back are essential. We offer paid volunteer hours to folks who use work time to volunteer during the year, and have an annual Day of Solidarity where we pause to volunteer and learn about how to be more equitable and inclusive at work and in our lives.
Paid volunteer hours are a benefit that really matches our values and our own B Corporation status. We want to encourage employees and compensate them for giving back to their communities, and giving time to help others.”
We also donate to organizations that are making a difference in climate change, as well as those working in our employees’ communities. Employees who donate to a cause of their choice get donation matching by 3Degrees, and they can also request that 3Degrees donate to an environmentally-focused organization from a shortlist on their behalf.
Every family situation is unique, and at 3Degrees we celebrate and support our employees and their family’s paths to becoming new parents. We provide paid parental leave with flexibility and policies that aim to support our employees personally and professionally.
As the VP of People, I had supported many employees through the parental leave process and when it was my turn, it was so surreal. I knew when I was ready to start my family, I would be supported because of who 3Degrees is. My colleagues, all the way to the highest level, supported my leave and reminded me (they were already parents) how important this time was for me and work would be here when I returned. I had a generous paid parental leave with plenty of time to give birth, recover and become a mother. The most important part of my parental leave experience was working for 3Degrees, a company that values family, values their employees, and created a space for me to check out, concentrate on my family with the confidence that when I returned my team, my role and the employees were going to be taken care of in my absence.”
We provide a learning and development stipend to encourage our employees to grow as professionals. Whether that be through online courses, books, or a college class, this stipend is for employees to use for the goals that matter to them.
I took a university course on Sustainable Management with my stipend. I found many uses for the course in my various job functions, and I tied the coursework to the work we do at 3Degrees to deepen my understanding.
