Jan Kang

Jan Kang serves as 3Degrees’ General Counsel, where she leads the Legal and Contracts teams in delivering best-in-class service to clients, and accelerating client decarbonization efforts.

Jan has served as general counsel for several companies across a variety of industries, such as Chronicle, Makari, and Cupertino Electric, Inc. She gained global experience in her time at Lam Research Corporation, where she worked with subsidiaries in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. More recently, Jan was COO and General Counsel for Stairwell, Inc., a cybersecurity start-up. This all adds up to over 25 years of experience in the field that Jan brings to 3Degrees, where she combines her passion for supporting innovation in business with her personal values of caring for the planet.

In her free time, Jan enjoys helping people in the legal community. She is the founder of the Women’s General Counsel Network, which delivers career support and education to more than 1,600 women general counsels.
