Philippe Vedrenne

Philippe Vedrenne joined 3Degrees as Chief Executive Officer in May 2025, bringing more than two decades of global energy leadership to the role. He began his career at Gaz de France in 1997 and played a foundational role in the creation of Gaselys, the trading entity that evolved into ENGIE Global Markets. As a founding member of ENGIE’s Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit, Philippe has spent his career shaping energy markets to be more resilient, efficient, and sustainable. He led large-scale initiatives to accelerate the energy transition towards renewable energy across continents. Known for his strategic mindset and collaborative leadership, Philippe is deeply committed to helping clients decarbonize through innovative market-based solutions and has worked with stakeholders across the energy value chain — from producers to policymakers. He is inspired by 3Degrees’ mission-driven culture and its role at the intersection of climate action and market transformation.

A French national, Philippe now lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife and their three children. He brings a multicultural perspective to his leadership. He is fluent in English and French, intermediate in German, and beginner in Russian. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his family, scuba diving, free diving, wingfoiling, piano, and Latin dances.
